Spoon Ring Questions?

Let's see if I can get some of those answered for you!

Whether you're curious about the process, the rings themselves, sizing, shipping, or anything in between, I've gathered our most commonly asked questions below.

What is my ring size?

Great question! I have a ring sizing guide available on my homepage to help you find your perfect fit before ordering.

My fingers seem to change ring sizes. Is that normal?

Absolutely! Your fingers naturally swell in warm weather and shrink in colder temperatures. (That's actually why I run my hand under cold water if I ever get a ring stuck. It helps reduce swelling.) Because of these natural fluctuations, your ring may fit slightly differently throughout the year.

Do you make gold spoon rings?

Not yet, at least not successfully! Gold spoons are difficult to find, and when I do find them, the gold finish tends to peel off during the bending process. I'm still experimenting and will keep you posted. In the meantime, mixing metals is totally in style!

Where do you source your spoons?

Most of my spoons come from antique shops, flea markets, thrift stores, estate sales, and anywhere else I can hunt for hidden treasures.

What goes into making a spoon ring?

Quite a bit! After searching all over town for the perfect spoons, I carefully cut the metal, shape it into a ring, sand the edges smooth, size it, and polish it to a shine. Each ring is handmade and goes through multiple steps before it's ready for its new home.

Will my ring tarnish?

Each ring is a little different, so it's hard to say exactly. In general, silver-plated silverware can tarnish over time, just like other silver items. A quick polish with a jewelry cloth will help keep your ring looking its best.

Can I wear my spoon ring every day?

I do! Spoon rings are made to be worn and enjoyed. I do recommend removing your ring before swimming, showering (although I will admit I personally sometimes shower with mine on), exercising, or using harsh chemicals, as this will help preserve its finish.

Do you make custom orders?

Sometimes! If you have a special request or a spoon of your own that you'd like turned into a ring, send me a message and we can see what's possible.

Is every ring unique?

Yes! Because each ring is made from a different spoon, no two rings are exactly alike. Small variations are part of what make each piece special and full of character.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Processing and shipping times can vary, but I always aim to get your package to the post office as soon as possible. Most orders are dropped off within three days of purchase or sooner. You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order is on its way.

Why are some rings more expensive than others?

Pricing depends on a few factors, including the spoon's rarity, pattern, condition, and the time it takes to create each ring.
